Hello everybody I have a problem and I hope to solve it my question is: Zeta[1/2,-E] that E=1-4 Zeta= Hurwithz zeta function

Hello, If you have'n yet, you could use this calculator in order to compute the hurwitz zeta function. Good luck with that, and if you have any problems with it, please post it here, and we'll try to help you sort it out! PS: DON'T create 2 topics for the same problem! Cheers!

Hello Thank you for your help but i need to reach Hurwithz Zeta function for following value:
zeta(1/2,-q)=? that q is 1<q<=4

Hi,
A far as i know, the Hurwitz Zeta Function is only defined for Re(s) > 1. With Zeta(s, q) = the Hurwitz Zeta Function.
So, i don't think it's possible to have zeta(1/2,-q).
This is from Wikipedia: "[...] It[Hurwitz Zeta Function] is formally defined for complex arguments s with Re(s)>1 and q with Re(q)>0 "

Dear livius That's right but I will solve zeta(1/2,-q). It has a answer. For example zeta(1/2,-q)= Sum[(((2 j - 1)!!*Zeta[j + 1/2])/(2^j*j!))*(q^j), {j, 1, Inf}] that 0<=q<=1
